The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) has opened registrations for the selection process for the Doctorate in Social Anthropology, with three places allocated to class 2025.1. The notice is aimed at indigenous candidates, quilombolas, gypsies, transsexuals and transvestites, as part of the institution's affirmative action policy. Registrations can be made until October 20, 2024, through the SIGAA system.
The program's lines of research include Spaces, Images and Technologies; Gender, Sexualities, Body and Health; Memory, Local Knowledge, Religiosity and Rituals; and Politics, Rights and Ethnicity.
Candidates must prove completion of a master's degree and present documents such as diploma, academic transcripts and research project. The stages of the selection process include approval of applications, project evaluation, oral argument and CV analysis. The final result will be released on December 3, 2024, with classes scheduled to begin in the first half of 2025.
