Postgraduate Symposium in Philosophy continues until Friday (12)

The Postgraduate Program in Philosophy (PPGFIL), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), is holding the 2nd edition of Simpofil, on the 10th, 11th and 12th of May 2023. The event, which takes place in auditorium B of CCHLA and in the auditorium of the Zila Mamede Library (BCZM), features thematic round tables on “Philosophy in the Future” and Working Groups (GTs), divided between six major areas of philosophy. Registrations must be made exclusively through the Sigaa/Gov system.
The Symposium is organized by students and professors from UFRN, who aim to create a unique moment for the dissemination of Brazilian academic production. This Thursday, the 11th, the working groups focused on the topics of Ethics, Philosophy and Education. The theme of the round table was the role of rationality in times of scientific denialism.
This Friday, the 12th, the last day of the event, the working groups will bring to debate the themes of Epistemology, Logic and Metaphysics. The round table addresses the topic of Philosophy in Brazil.
