International Multirisk Seminar at UFRN: registration for abstract submission is open until February 10

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is hosting the International Multi-risk Seminar, an event that will take place from April 10th to 12th and registration is now open for the submission of expanded abstracts. The deadline for submitting these abstracts is February 10th.
Those interested in participating can submit abstracts of up to 1,000 words, which must be sent in Word format. Each abstract must contain a title, five keywords and identification of the author. Submissions can be made via the registration form available on the event website or via email at contatomultirrisco@gmail.com. The results are scheduled to be announced on February 15th.
The call for abstracts accepts works in Portuguese and English, covering empirical and theoretical research and systematic literature reviews. It is worth noting that work presentations have the option of being carried out remotely.
Among the topics covered by the seminar, the following stand out:
– Multi-risks in the context of climate change
– Participatory mapping/social cartography
– Monitoring and alerting of multiple risks
– Risk communication and social mobilization
– Methodologies to improve risk and disaster management
– Multi-risks and socio-environmental vulnerabilities
The central focus of the International Multi-risk Seminar is to promote the advancement of conceptual and methodological debate on the assessment and management of contexts in which multiple risks overlap, causing other forms of danger. The event will feature the participation of international experts in lectures, round tables, a work presentation session and a workshop to implement possible disaster risk reduction solutions.
For more information and access to the registration form, visit the event's official website: (https://georisco.ufrn.br/evento/seminario-internacional-multirrisco/).
Questions can be sent to the email contatomultirrisco@gmail.com.
