Social Sciences Week continues with programming until Friday, 11

Social Sciences Week, promoted by the Department of Social Sciences of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), continues with an intense program until Friday, November 11th. The event also features debate tables, documentary screenings and a closing table over the next two days.
On Thursday, the 10th, the activities begin with a debate table, at 9 am, with the theme “The place and contribution of the Northeast in a project to reinvent Brazil”. The event is mediated by professor César Sanson (UFRN), with Maria Fernanda Ramos Coelho, undersecretary of the Consórcio Nordeste, and Tânia Bacelar, professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), participating on the panel.
On the same day, at 2:30 pm, two documentaries will be shown: “We Will Be Heard”, directed and scripted by Larissa Nepomuceno, and “Ava Kuña, Aty Kuña; indigenous woman, political woman”, directed by Julia Coimbra Martin, Fabiane Medina da Cruz and Guilherme Augusto Gonçalves Sai. Mediation is carried out by Professor Gilmar Santana (UFRN).
At 7pm, another panel debate will take place, this time with the theme “The centrality of peripheries in a Brazilian project”. Participating in the meeting are representatives of the Inclusion Network, the Organization of Black Women of RN, the National Coordination of Black Entities (Conen), the Unified Black Movement and the Enegrecer Collective. The table is mediated again by professor César Sanson.
The last event of the week takes place on Friday, 11th, at 9am, with the closing table on “2022 Elections and the challenges for democracy in Brazil: processes and emergencies”. This event has as its interlocutor Professor Flávia Biroli, from the Institute of Political Science at the University of Brasília (UnB).
