Anthropology week brings together a large audience on the first day of the event

With the purpose of discussing topics such as digital media, cyberculture and audiovisual from the theoretical-methodological frameworks of Anthropology, the XIV Anthropology Week at UFRN began this Monday, 16th, with a large contingent of public who attended the opening lecture given by professor Suely Kofes from UNICAMP.
For the first time in Natal, lecturer Professor Suely Kofes said she was honored to have been invited to participate in the event. During his lecture entitled “Anthropology, aesthetics and narrative: a ‘beautiful corner’”, he commented that the approach between anthropology and art and literature does not need to be just to transform them into objects, but to be a relationship of counting that instigates effects that alter without canceling their differences and without reducing aesthetics to the verb.
Today's program continues with the workshops, a game entitled: “Symbolic Fights”, taught by professor Daniel Costa Valentim from UFC and the Nau Pirata collective and the drawing and anthropology workshop taught by professor Aina Azevedo from UFRN, both at 2 pm. In the evening, starting at 7pm, the thematic table “Piracy, copyright and the cultural industry” will take place, coordinated by professor Juliana Melo from UFRN.
According to the organizers of the event, the theme chosen for this year's XIV Anthropology Week is in line with what is happening in Brazil today, discussing themes linked to digital networks, media, audiovisual and art that are so present in the current situation and deserve reflection.
