Anthropology Week discusses demands from Social Movements

   The Department of Anthropology (DAN), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), is holding, between the 27th and 29th of March, the UFRN's XVII Anthropology Week, with the theme Demands from Social Movements to Anthropology. The event features round tables, workshops, audiovisual shows and discussion of topics such as race, ethnicity, gender, class, sexualities, age and disability.
   This year, Anthropology Week reaches its 17th edition and proposes reflection: where and how should an engaged anthropology act? To this end, in addition to having round tables, the debate extends to social movement open-air markets, where you can listen, exchange and dialogue with collectives and representatives of social movements.
    The event will be held at the Zila Mamede Central Library (BCZM) and at the Community Center. To register, access the event page in the Integrated Academic Activities Management System (Sigaa). The full schedule is available on the event's Facebook page.
