UFRN Academic Design Week takes place in September

Debulha is UFRN's Academic Design Week, an academic event planned and organized by a team of students and teaching coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Design, which has taken place annually since 2010. This year the event will take place from the 12th to the 17th of September, starting at 8 am, at the facilities of the Department of Arts of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN.
The central theme of Debulha 2016, entitled: “Through Chaos”, was chosen, with the purpose of debating the Brazilian political-economic crisis and its effects in the field of design, both in education and in the job market.
In this context, the scheduled activities, which are part of the event, must promote discussions, exhibitions and actions, which allow reflection on the professional training and performance of designers, presenting paths and possibilities found to overcome moments of crisis.

To this end, the meeting schedule includes the participation of professionals in the field, local and from other regions of Brazil, who work in the area of higher education and in the domestic and foreign markets. Through lectures, round tables, debates, workshops, themes are sought that stimulate participants and promote reflections on design production.
