Selection for special master's students at PPGEM 2016.2

The postgraduate program in Media Studies at the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN is open for special master's students in 2016.2.
To register, the candidate must fill out the application below and attach copies of the Identity Card, CPF, Diploma and Academic Transcript, and Lattes CV.
Documents must be delivered to the PPgEM Secretariat (Room 226 of the CCHLA), on 07/29 (Friday) and 08/01 (Monday), from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

PEM0006 – MEDIA STUDIES AND MEANING PRODUCTION
SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION: The media as a social institution. Interrelate media practices with sociocultural processes of meaning. Articulate the balance between the media's representation of local, regional, national and global identities and notions of public space.

PEM0007 – MEDIA STUDIES AND SOCIAL PRACTICES
SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION: Contribution of Social Sciences to the understanding of media practices in contemporary society, with an emphasis on examining media processes. Construction of identities. Public space. Media and construction of social reality. Legal-political organization of systems

The candidate may enroll in more than one discipline, but must submit a Lattes Application and CV for each enrollment.
The number of places for special students will be a maximum of 50% of the places filled by regular students.
