The Program
The Languages Without Borders Network (IsF) was created in 2012 by a group of foreign language experts. Based on an initiative presented by Andifes to the Higher Education Secretariat of the Ministry of Education, the program was developed to help higher education students have access to mobility programs offered by the Federal Government.
The Program has become an important tool in the internationalization process and to contribute to the development of a language policy in Brazilian universities, in addition to promoting teaching residency for future foreign language teaching professionals.
Since October 2019, when IsF activities were canceled by the Ministry of Education, Andifes has welcomed the proposal from the teachers involved in the initiative, maintaining the same work objectives of the Program, but with the prospect of new proposals to be discussed in the next scheduled meetings. with the prospect of expanding course menus and other actions aimed at the internationalization of Brazilian universities
