UFRN project that works on translating Covid-19 biomedical materials is selected in MCTI notice

The research project “Good practices on COVID-19 in Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and Ceará: translation and preparation of materials in the territories”, was selected by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MCTI) to receive funding in a public notice that included projects focused on tackling the pandemic and its consequences. There were more than 2,200 projects registered by various institutions in the country and only 90 were selected.
 
The project is coordinated by professor Ana Gretel Echazú Böschemeier, from the Department of Anthropology at UFRN and also has the collaboration of professors from the departments of Public Health, Public Policy and Literature.
 
“The research proposal covers issues linked to the gathering of knowledge and the cultural translation of biomedical materials with a focus on collective/intercultural health, in dialogue with seven local communities/social movements in the Brazilian Northeast”, highlights professor Ana Gretel.
 
The project coordinator also highlights that the project has collaboration with international institutions.
