History teachers from CCHLA participate in a seminar on the Brazilian Navy and the 2nd World War

Professors from the History Department (Dehis), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Roberto Airon Silva and Flávia de Sá Pedreira, participate in the Military History Seminar in celebration of the anniversary of the creation of the Northeast Naval Force, promoted by the Brazilian Navy. The event takes place simultaneously virtually and in person, from October 5th to 6th.
Professor Flávia de Sá will speak at 9am, on October 5th, about the ‘Notes on the daily life of Trampolim da Vitória’. Then, professor Roberto Airon Silva, at 10am, begins his lecture on the ‘Potentialities of historical archeology for the study of military history in the context of Brazil and Rio Grande do Norte’.

The event will be held at the headquarters of the 3rd Naval District Command, located at Rua Coronel Flamínio, 100, Santos Reis neighborhood, in Natal.
According to the seminar coordination, Certificates of Attendance will be provided to everyone who has attended at least three lectures in person.
The coordination also informs that all protocols in force due to the Covid-19 pandemic will be followed. On this occasion, alcohol gel will be available to participants and social distancing rules will be respected.
