PPGEM opens applications for social demand scholarships (CAPES – Master’s)

The postgraduate program in Media Studies at the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN is open for applications until February 15th for a master's degree scholarship.  The candidate must attend the PPGEM secretariat between 7:30 am and 11:30 am and 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm, taking with them the registration form set out in ANNEX 1 of the notice, which can be viewed on the page www.cchla.ufrn.br/pggem.
Master's students in Media Studies, regularly enrolled in this program, are eligible to apply for scholarships. Candidates awarded a social demand scholarship must prove their residence in Natal and will not be able to combine this with other types of scholarship or with remuneration arising from employment, as determined by Article 9 of CAPES ordinance no. 76 of April 2012. Furthermore, to receive the scholarship, the student must have a current account at Banco do Brasil, as the holder.
The selection consists of the following criteria: veterans will be subjected to an analysis of the academic performance demonstrated in their academic record and Lattes CV, as per ANNEX 2 and for new veterans the grade obtained in the 2015 selection process (Entry 2016) for the PPGEM will be evaluated. If there is a tie, the grade obtained in the written test will be used as a tiebreaker. If a tie persists, the interview grade will be used as a tiebreaker and finally, age.
The result will be announced on February 22nd, on the PPGEM secretariat wall and on the program's website (www.cchla.ufrn.br/pggem). Recipients will have until February 25th to submit the necessary documentation to register to receive the scholarship, at the PPGEM secretariat.
