The Coordination of the Postgraduate Program in Urban and Regional Studies (PPEUR) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) announced the opening of registrations for the postdoctoral selection process. Interested parties have until June 16th to apply for one of the two available vacancies, one of which starts immediately in 2023, lasting up to 19 months. The opportunity is aimed at candidates with experience in research with international networks and skills in cartographic representation software. Registration can be made through Sigaa. The final result will be released on June 28, 2023.
To compete, you must have a PhD in Urban and Regional Studies, Social Sciences, Geography, Architecture and/or Urban Planning, Economics, Administration or Demography, obtained in courses evaluated by CAPES and recognized by the CNE/MEC. If the diploma was issued by a foreign institution, it will undergo admission analysis by the PPEUR board.
The selection of candidates will be conducted by a Postgraduate Program Selection Committee, in a process consisting of three eliminatory stages. The first stage is the approval of registrations, in which the documents sent at the time of the request will be verified. The second stage is the Scientific Merit Assessment, in which the candidate's scientific profile will be analyzed based on production indications and arguments. In the interview, criteria such as objectivity, mastery and clarity of responses will be assessed, related to the candidate's trajectory and perspectives within the scope of PPEUR.
