UFRN postgraduate student competes for “Curta em Casa” National Award

The filmmaker and postgraduate student in Documentary Production at UFRN, Júlia Donati competes for the “Curta em Casa” National Award, promoted by the online platform Cardume. The short “Planta Carne”, lasting 3 minutes, is the only representative of Rio Grande do Norte in the grand final.
The house she lives in Parnamirim, the surrounding vegetation, the flesh/body, the walls of the room, the sunset outside, the omnipresent cat, part of the microcosm poetically created by Julia. “The weeks drag on and I try to transmute the passage of time into learning”, he reflects at the beginning of the short. Julia Donati is a graphic designer, tattoo artist, illustrator and filmmaker who has participated in short film festivals and made two music videos for the Rio Grande do Norte band Ardu.
The selected productions will be made available to the platform's subscribers, who will be able to vote for the films. The three films with the most votes will receive cash prizes and will be invited to a live debate session promoted by Cardume.
