Post in History launches first volume of Revista Espacialidades

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) announces the launch of the first volume of 2023 of Revista Espacialidades (n° 19), produced by the institution's Postgraduate Program in History. The publication is available for access on the magazine's official website, via the link: https://periodicos.ufrn.br/espacialidades/issue/view/1304
The highlight of this volume is the thematic dossier entitled “Landscapes in perspective: multiple paths”, which brings together a series of articles and scientific research aimed at investigating the concept of landscape within the scope of Human Sciences, especially in the area of History. The dossier explores the different approaches that the term “landscape” can acquire through different academic methodologies.
Landscape, like many other concepts, is multifaceted and can be related to topography, cartography and territory, in addition to carrying with it the cultural meanings present in a historical space shaped by historical productions and sociocultural constructions.
In this sense, the objective of the dossier is to invite historians to incorporate the notion of landscape in their research and to problematize the spatial issue present in their studies. Volume 19.1 of Revista Espacialidades brings the Dossier Landscapes in perspective: multiple paths, composed of eight articles, as well as an interview with Professor Dora Shellard Corrêa, from the State University of Londrina (UEL).
