Researchers from the Georisk group at UFRN, doctoral candidate Caroline Barros de Sales and professor Lutiane Queiroz de Almeida, published the e-book ‘Mass Movement Risk Mapping on a Detailed Scale: Concepts, Methodology and Applicability’. The digital book's main proposal is to analyze the risk of disasters triggered by mass movements on a detailed scale, with the centrality of the systematization of a mapping methodology that integrates physical aspects of exposure and social aspects of vulnerability to risk, constituting contributions to public management.
The content and products of the book are the result of Caroline's Master's Thesis, under the guidance of Prof. Lutiane, carried out during the Postgraduate and Research Program in Geography (PPGe). The work was included in the notice of the Rio Grande do Norte State Research Support Foundation (Faperne) in partnership with the Rio Grande do Norte State University Foundation (Fuerne).
