The Public Policy Institute (IPP), of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), promotes, on September 15th, the lecture Cocreating the City with Children. The event takes place from 7pm to 10pm at the Sônia Campos Ferreira Auditorium (BCZM). Registration is available through Sigaa.
The lecture seeks to investigate the impact of creating an urban project to requalify public space. Initially, the event aims to address the theoretical framework of the European project URBiNAT and how it relates to the concept of creativity.
Secondly, the lecture analyzes the construction and implementation of activities carried out by children. The aim will be to develop a critical reflection on the results obtained and the way in which they are integrated into the urban design process, contributing to generating more transformative, inclusive and sustainable processes.
The event's speaker is professor Gonçalo Canto Moniz, from the Center for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (POR). Also participating are professor Sara Raquel de Medeiros, as coordinator, and professor Márcio Moraes Valença, as moderator.
