Public budget was discussed at a SEMAPA seminar at CCHLA

Students on the public policy course were able to deepen their knowledge in the area of public budgeting, in front of the renowned prosecutor of the Public Ministry, Luciano Ramos, who, invited by the coordinator of the Society, Environment and Development research group, agreed to speak about the current challenges of the public budget, in the view of the public ministry of accounts of RN.
The auditorium was small for the number of interested parties and the lecture was informative. Professor Dr. Fábio Fonseca Figueiredo did the honors of the house and introduced the promoter to the university environment. Very willingly, Ramos discussed the nuances of the budget; the lack of planning that leaves the State always close to failing to meet its payroll; warned that Rio Grande do Norte has serious commitments to the Fiscal Responsibility Law - in fact one of the highest in the country, having reached 54%, also warning of the need to observe the democratic legitimacy of expenses, take the participatory budget more seriously and the imperative need to take measures to avoid problems in future payments.
The event ended with an open debate, mediated by FANEC law professor Fernando Braga.
