Observatório das Metrópoles publishes book on Natal Metropolitan Area

The Metropolis Observatory, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), participates in the project “Urban Reform and the Right to the City: challenges for national development” which foresees the publication of 17 books by the end of the year, with the aim of proposing a critical assessment of the paths and challenges of Brazilian metropolises.
UFRN professors Alexsandro Ferreira Cardoso da Silva and Maria do Livramento Miranda Clementino participate in the project's newest book as organizers. The new publication deals with the Natal Metropolitan Zone, which completed 25 years of formation in 2022.
The book addresses thoughts, analyzes and criticisms of the Natal Center on the Metropolitan Region, observing the structural factors that keep the challenges open. Furthermore, it also aims to make the reader reflect on the current political and economic situation affecting Brazil.
Check out the book and REURDC project website. For more information, visit the Instagram of the Observatório das Metrópoles (@obsmetropoles) and its nucleus in Natal (@omnucleonatal).
