Navis holds 3rd Latin American Ethnographic Film Exhibition

The Visual Anthropology Center (Navis/UFRN) will hold, from September 26th to 30th, the third edition of the Latin American Ethnographic Film Exhibition. The non-competitive event is also promoted by the Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology (PPGAS/UFRN). Registration to participate in the debates is open at Sigaa UFRN.
During the week, the Center's YouTube channel broadcasts meetings with directors and guest shows, bringing discussions that think about the world through Cinema, Anthropology, Sociology and Communication.
Latin American audiovisual works are presented in five thematic discussion blocks, including feature films and short films, aiming to facilitate the flow of reflections. They are: ethnobiographies, memories, Territory and struggles for land, Social activism, Rites and rituals
The selected works are the result of a shared curation, formed by members of the Navis team and guests, and can be watched on the Amazon Flix Platform. In total, 32 of the 100 works submitted will be part of the III Latin American Ethnographic Film Exhibition.
The exhibition will be shown on the Amazon Flix Platform (link in bio @navis_UFRN) and all films will be available from September 26th. The debates with the participants will be broadcast via the YouTube channel.
