NAC holds an exhibition with works by students from the Arts Atelier

Around 200 works produced by Visual Arts students and teachers from the Arts Atelier of the Art and Culture Center (NAC) at UFRN will be exhibited from this Wednesday, 20th, at the Conviv’Art Gallery and at the Zila Mamede Central Library (BCZM). The opening of the collective exhibition takes place tomorrow, at 3pm, with visits open to the public until December 6th. The exhibition can be seen at NAC, from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm, and at BCZM, from Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 10pm, and on Saturdays, from 7:30am to 1:30pm.
The exhibition reflects the production of students and teachers who worked on their affective memories and memories during the semester. The proposal to work with specific themes for the exhibition began three semesters ago at the Studio in order to serve as a guide when producing works in classes.
The Ateliê offers vacancies to the community annually, through a notice launched at the beginning of the year. The group formed now has around 70 students and each of them will exhibit two works, in different techniques, such as canvas, paper and acrylic, as well as clay productions and collages. The courses at the NAC Studio are Drawing Production, Topics in Drawing, Watercolor Painting and Acrylic Painting, for adults, and classes with children and teenagers who study both drawing and painting.[
Student Vitória Nogueira, from the Acrylic Painting class, will be one of the exhibitors at Galeria Conviv’Art, with work produced from acrylic on acetate. She considers participating in the exhibition to be a different experience. "I came to take the course on the recommendation of a friend, who already took it. As I'm interested in art, I decided to take the course. I'm experimenting with producing art", he said.
