The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) inaugurates this Thursday, 23rd, at 5pm, the new facilities of the Art and Culture Center (NAC). The ceremony will feature the NAC 40 Years Collective Exhibition, the opening of the Arts Museum, the launch of the NAC 40 Years brand, the publication of a notice from Galeria Conviv’Art and the launch of the book Minha Aldeia Azul, by author Erasmo Andrade. The new NAC building is located in the ground floor annex of the Zila Mamede Central Library (BCZM), with an area of 544.80 m² divided between the administrative and exhibition sectors. The works worth R$1 million provide a new structure for the Conviv’Art Gallery and the creation of the Palatnik Museum, which will house permanent exhibitions of the UFRN artistic collection and the Arte Correio collection donated by retired civil servant and artist Jota Medeiros. Furthermore, the technical storage room will allow for adequate care and hygiene of works of art.
