Tree Planting Mutirão – Rota do Sol Cycle Path

The Rio Grande do Norte Cyclists Association – ACIRN and the NGO Baobá, in partnership with Horto Pitimbu, SEMARH and DER, have the honor of inviting cyclists, runner athletes and the population to participate in the “Mutirão Plantio de Árvores – Ciclovia Rota do Sol”, which will take place on March 11, 2017, Saturday, with the meeting at Barreira do Inferno at 8 am.

Bicycles x Trees
This collective action aims to promote awareness about sustainability and thermal comfort among cycle path users. The bicycle is an agile means of transport that does not pollute and an extraordinary vehicle for exercising and socializing. Trees, in turn, perform environmental services of extreme importance for biodiversity and security on the planet.
 
Participants will receive
A native tree seedling from the Atlantic forest, a concrete picket with the number of the place where the tree will be planted, a t-shirt, an identification bracelet with an adhesive seal, an information sheet on tree planting, a certificate of participation, a medal of honor and, after breakfast, the draw for 02 (two) bicycles and a weekend with a companion at the Villa do Mar hotel, on Via Costeira, Natal/RN.
 
Maintenance
The important thing about numbering, georeferencing each tree (indicating the person who planted it), develops the sense of care and appearance necessary in the initial stage of its growth.
 
Dynamics
The scheduled time for the official photography of the event, by photojournalist Canindé Soares, takes place at 8:15 am, followed, then, at 8:20 am, by the performance of the Military Police Music Band. The start of tree planting begins at 8:30 am, by Governor Robinson Faria, with tree number 001. Then, at 8:40 am, all participants, duly registered for the event, will plant their trees in locations demarcated by the concrete stake number. Breakfast will be served at 9:30 am, in front of Barreira do Inferno, as well as the presentation of medals of honor to the participants. At 10:00 am: the draw for 02 (two) bicycles and the weekend voucher for the Hotel Vila do Mar. The activities are scheduled to end at 10:30 am.
 
 
 
UFRN – UnP Monitors
Students from UFRN and UnP will be present at the event, duly trained in the necessary instructions to support the “Mutirão Planting trees – Ciclovia Rota do Sol”.
 
Registration/Validation and Period
The investment for individual registration is R$60.00 (sixty reais), which must be made via deposit or bank transfer exclusively into the Baobá NGO account.
