Ethnographic Film Exhibition takes place from this Thursday

The Virtual Anthropology Center (Navis/UFRN) will hold, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September, the second virtual edition of the Latin American Ethnographic Film Exhibition. The non-competitive event, also promoted by the Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology (PPGAS), is part of Navis' 20th anniversary program.
During the three days of activity, the Center's YouTube channel broadcasts meetings with directors and guest shows, bringing discussions about the world through Cinema, as well as Anthropology, Sociology and Communication.
Latin American audiovisual works are presented in five thematic discussion blocks, including feature films and short films, aiming to facilitate the flow of reflections. They are: Urban, Gender and mobilities; Indigenous people, quilombolas and territories; Identities, Religions and Traditions; Resistance, environment and memory; Pandemic and current tensions.
The selected works are the result of a shared curation, formed by members of the Navis team and guests, and can be viewed on the Navis/UFRN page. In total, 46 of the 264 works submitted will be part of the II Latin American Ethnographic Film Exhibition.
