Next Tuesday, April 2, the book Observations on the Second World War in Rio Grande do Norte will be released. The work, which included the contribution of several researchers from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), brings together texts about the period in which the state of Rio Grande do Norte participated directly in the Second World War.
The work has eight articles by twelve researchers who focus their attention on this important historical episode in Rio Grande do Norte. Among them are professors Yuri Simonini, from the History Department, Giovana Paiva de Oliveira and Angela Lúcia de Araújo Ferreira, both from the Architecture Department.
The book is organized by José Correia Torres Neto and is part of the Collection The Participation of Rio Grande do Norte in the Second World War, which has two other works: Overvoo: episodes of the Second World War in Rio Grande do Norte, written by Rostand Medeiros and The North American Engineering in Natal in the Second World War, by Leonardo Dantas.
The launch of the three books will take place on April 2nd, starting at 11am, at the Sebrae-RN headquarters, located in the Lagoa Nova neighborhood.
