LAIS selects Journalism, Advertising and Design students

The Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health (LAIS), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), selects undergraduate students in Journalism, Advertising and Propaganda and Design for the project Applied Research for Intelligent Integration Oriented to Strengthening Care Networks for Rapid Response to Syphilis. Registration is free and begins this Thursday, 27th, and continues until February 3rd, via the Laboratory's Selection Processes Platform.
When registering, candidates must indicate the vacancy of interest. Those approved in the selection process will form a reserve registration list and will be called according to the order of the results. The final result of the process will be available on February 10th, on the LAIS website.
The value of the scholarship is R$1,200 for up to 20 hours per week, according to the work plan. Candidates cannot accumulate scholarships at UFRN and the Norte-Rio-Grandense Research and Culture Foundation (Funpec). Furthermore, they cannot have more than two grants in projects carried out simultaneously.
Journalism students will develop activities related to supporting academic research, with an emphasis on the field of institutional communication and communication consultancy; content analysis for digital platforms and news portals; development of strategies for journalistic texts; and support for the development and analysis of image and sound records relating to the project.
Advertising students will carry out activities related to supporting academic research for the development, systematization and analysis of advertising communication for the area of ​​health science, with a focus on syphilis and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs); analysis of social media management processes and the writing of advertising texts, within the scope of the project, focusing on the popularization of scientific content and the application of concepts for campaigns aimed at publicizing the project's actions; and support for the analysis of the communicative strategies used by the project and the development of a communication plan.
Students on the Design course will develop research with an emphasis on creating graphic pieces to disseminate scientific content and apply aesthetic concepts aimed at advertising and analysis of their impacts.
Research activities will be developed within the scope of UFRN, in Natal, but meetings or missions may take place in other locations. Details about the process are available in Notice 01/2022. Questions can be sent to the email editais@lais.huol.ufrn.br.
