LabRural carries out II Cycle of Studies on Rural and Environmental Conflicts

The Rural Studies Laboratory (LabRural), linked to the Department of Public Policies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), will hold next Tuesday, 31st, at 1:30 pm, the second edition of the Cycle of Studies on Rural and Environmental Conflicts, with a theme on the perspectives of political ecology.
The first meeting, entitled A question of justice: the various dimensions of environmental justice, will be taught by professor Marcelo Lopes de Souza, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), via the Google Met platform. The cycle is coordinated by UFRN professors Joana Tereza Vaz de Moura and Leandro Cavalcante.
The cycle of debates, which will feature six meetings, will bring together researchers with the aim of debating the issue of social and environmental justice, territories and their relationships with public policies. The meetings aim to enable critical reflections on the socio-environmental relations that mobilize and articulate the debate around natural assets, that is, to think about political processes in disputes in the configuration of Latin American territories.
