The coordinators of the Bachelor's and Degree courses in Social Sciences organize the Integration Week with freshmen between the 14th and 17th of June, in partnership with students who are part of the Social Sciences Teaching, Research and Extension Laboratory (LabEpecs). Certificates are issued by the Dean of Extension (Proex) to participants who register for the event through Sigaa.
To begin with, the event features a virtual tour of the UFRN campus, with presentations by some research groups from the Department of Social Sciences (DCS) and the Department of Anthropology (DAN).
Programming highlights
What is essential in the training of a sociologist? is one of the main themes of the event to welcome new students, about which there will be a debate with professor José de Souza Martins, from the University of São Paulo (USP). The subject will be addressed next Tuesday, June 15th, at 7pm, and will feature the participation of professor Gilmar Santana, from the Department of Social Sciences (DCS).
There will also be a lecture with professor Maria Aparecida Barreto, professor at the Department of Psychology at UFRN (Depsi) and member of the Applied Psychology Service (Sepa), who talks about how to maintain a study routine during the pandemic, on Monday, 14th, at 7pm. The event also features the launch of the book Black Women and Marxism, by Letícia Parks. The action takes place through Microsoft Teams.
The LabEpces is linked to the DCS and DAN. The Integration Week was supported by the Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology (PPGAS) and the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences (PPGCS).
