IV International Symposium on Functional Linguistics at UFRN

The IV International Symposium on Functional Linguistics, to be held from May 31 to June 2, 2017, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, aims to bring together undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers from Brazilian universities and abroad who are dedicated to linguistic studies.
The event will be attended by three major international speakers: Carlos Gouveia (University of Lisbon, Portugal), Gabriele Diewald (University of Graz, Austria) and Kees Hengeveld (University of Amsterdam, Germany).
In addition to these three guests, some of the main functionalist and/or cognitivist researchers in Brazil have also confirmed their presence, among them, Erotilde Pezatti (UNESP/SJRP), Maria Helena de Moura Neves (UNESP/Araraquara), Maria Maura Cezario (UFRJ), Maria Medianeira de Souza (UFPE), Mariangela Rios de Oliveira (UFF), Roberto Gomes Camacho (UNESP/SJRP) and Sebastião Carlos Leite Gonçalves (UNESP).
Registration for participation in the IV SILF, in all forms, must be made via the official event email (silfufrn@gmail.com). Each participant must send, in a single email, the completed registration form, proof of payment and proof of enrollment in an educational institution (if they are a student).
The official opening of the event takes place on May 31st, from 9am to 9:30am, in the UFRN BCZM auditorium.
