The Humanitas Institute (IH), a Specialized Academic Unit of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), is preparing the creation of the OUR COMMON FUTURE PLATFORM, which aims to offer education for a sustainable future. The portal will offer reflections on science, technology, philosophy and art, with indications of solutions to global problems and dilemmas.
The IH Management established coordination for the design and production of a portal with the participation of professors-researchers from the IH, researchers from the Klimapolis group (Germany-Brazil) and researchers with extensive participation in UN activities, which will influence all of the Platform's initiatives. There will be three main axes of the project: Our Common Future as a Teaching Program, Our Common Future as a Research Program and Our Common Future as Intervention Projects.
"The Platform can provide this environment of renewal, creation and liberation from the ideological ties that many environments are immersed in today. Let us think about the past and the present with our eyes on the future. Our Common Future is a determinant of our life on spaceship Earth, and no matter where we are", considers the Institute's Management.
