This Thursday, the 2nd, the Humanitas Institute launched the Minuto Sustentável program. The initiative, a partnership with Universitária FM 88.9 and the Communications Superintendency, is a weekly program that will feature daily insertions, without a fixed time, in the station's programming. The content is constructed by addressing various topics related to the current challenge of sustainability in its economic, environmental, social, cultural, political and ethical dimensions.
The objective of the program is to convey messages and information about sustainable lifestyles in today's world. To this end, it will present weekly reports, study results, information from scientific reports from national and international entities and interviews with researchers from different areas who will talk about issues such as economic and technological development, environmental imbalances, climate change, social inequalities, violence and human rights.
All topics covered are related to a broad concept of sustainability. The premise understands that human life only becomes effectively sustainable if our societies seek balance in their relationships with the environment and balance within themselves, with human cohabitation based on broad social justice, democracy and equality.
To send suggestions for topics, materials and interviews, you can send an email to the Institute's management at humanitas@ufrnet.br.
