The Ágora Institute aims to work towards the internationalization of UFRN, improving the knowledge of foreign languages and cultures of its students, teachers, administrative technical staff and the community in general. It continues to offer courses, making Portuguese as a Foreign Language courses available for this first semester of 2019, aiming to develop reading skills, oral comprehension, writing production and spoken speech in Portuguese.
The target audience for these courses are foreign students (undergraduate/postgraduate) at UFRN, and the external community with an appropriate visa.
The courses offered are: Portuguese 1, Portuguese 2, Portuguese 3, Reading, Writing and Conversation. To register, some prerequisites must be followed as published in the notice.
A placement test will be carried out on February 13th, from 9am to 1pm, in Auditorium 3 at Ágora. Registration for the test must be done by submitting a registration request via email at ple.ufrn@gmail.com, by 11pm on February 12th.
Enrollment will take place on February 21st and 22nd, from 8 am to 5 pm, at the Instituto Ágora secretariat, with support in English available. The price for the semester is R$ 250.00, paid in cash at the time of registration.
Ágora courses aim to provide the necessary conditions for foreign communities to develop their proficiency in the Portuguese language, through an interactive teaching approach. Classes present fundamental aspects of Brazilian culture and cover comprehension, oral and written production skills.
