The UFRN Ágora Institute publishes a notice for registrations in language courses for the 2020.1 semester. Classes are offered in English, French, Spanish, German, Libras, Latin, Classical Greek and Hebrew, in the Basic, Reading for Academic Purposes and Conversation modalities. The courses are aimed at both internal and external audiences. Registration takes place between February 10th and 13th, 2020, divided into audience categories.
The semi-annual contribution consists of R$250.00 for paying categories. Students assisted by the Dean of Student Assistance (Proae) can apply for scholarships, which correspond to 20% of the places available each semester. Any UFRN student who does not qualify for a scholarship can apply for contributing student positions.
The external public must register in person at the Instituto Ágora secretariat, on a reserve registration list, for the English, French, Spanish or German languages, to occupy vacancies at levels III and IV or Conversation. If the candidate chooses the Libras, Latin, Classical Greek or Hebrew courses, they must register through the Integrated Academic Activities Management System (Sigaa).
Registration will open on February 10, 2020 for scholarship candidates assisted by Proae, and registration must be made through Sigaa. On February 11th, registration for the external public will take place. The 12th will be dedicated to other UFRN students and employees, as taxpayers, and on the 13th, in-person registrations will take place at the Ágora secretariat for Conversation courses (English, French, Spanish and German) and the collection of the Union Collection Slip (GRU). Proof of payment must be sent from February 12th to 17th, via email at agoracomprovante@gmail.com.
Candidates with prior knowledge of the language can take a placement test, except for Reading for Academic Purposes courses. The test will be carried out on February 19th for candidates who requested the option at the time of registration and on the 20th for those registered in the reserve register.
