The target audience for our courses are mainly international students (undergraduate and postgraduate) at UFRN, foreign teachers and also people from the external community with an appropriate visa. We distinguish ourselves from other courses by providing our students with the necessary conditions to develop their proficiency in Portuguese through the cultivation of reading skills, oral comprehension, written production and oral production.
We use a communicative and interactive teaching approach, and our classes present fundamental aspects of Brazilian culture, worked through playful activities, such as national music and cinema. Another difference between the Portuguese for Foreigners courses at INSTITUTO ÁGORA is that each of them has a workload of 60 hours/semester, offering the student a differentiated and quality experience in acquiring the vernacular.
The courses and schedules offered for the First Semester of 2020 are as follows:
PORTUGUESE 1: MON/WED, 1:00pm-2:40pm (exclusively for Spanish speakers)
