As part of the World Environment Day initiatives, the Socioeconomics of the Environment and Environmental Policy – SEMAPA research group from the Public Policies department at UFRN will hold its fifth seminar on “Drought and water resources management in the Brazilian Northeast” on June 8, starting at 3pm, in the auditorium of the Zila Mamede Central Library at UFRN.
Started in October 2016 and every two months, the initiative has debated the topic of water and drought management in the Brazilian Northeast, inviting public managers, researchers and representatives of civil society, putting the topic on the agenda from public policies and its main institutional actors. The event will have representatives from the Northeast Development Superintendence – SUDENE and the National Department of Works Against Droughts – DNOCS.
