Next Thursday (25), the Department of Arts (Deart) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will carry out the project “Weaving Existence – Exchange of Knowledge and Doing” at Deart. Open to the public, the event will take place from 6:40 pm to 10 pm.
The project, organized by the subject “Educational Practices in Popular Dance” by professor Dr. Roberta Maziero, in partnership with the local community, aims to explore the ancestral traditions of handmade bobbin lace. Master lacemakers such as Vó Maria de Lourdes and Maria Helena Correa will be present to lead a conversation and share their knowledge.
The event will provide a unique opportunity for the community to discover and appreciate the cultural and artisanal richness present in the village of Ponta Negra.
