TVU premieres new season of the program Xeque Mate

Last Wednesday, June 1st, the program Xeque Mate, from TV Universitária (TVU), debuted the new commemorative season called Que Resenha é Essa?, in reference to the 60th anniversary of the Department of Social Communication (Decom/UFRN) and the 50th anniversary of TVU/UFRN.
In the first episode, the program hosted professor Francisco Duarte, current coordinator of the Journalism course at UFRN, who shared stories of his academic and professional journey as a journalist, former student and employee of the university. The conversation included the participation of four Decom students, who asked questions to the professor, under the command of presenter and teacher Bruno Gomes.
During the special season, Xeque Mate will welcome personalities from Rio Grande do Norte, with interviews conducted by presenters who have previously worked on the program. The Xeque Mate is a production by TV Universitária in partnership with the Department of Social Communication (Decom/UFRN). The program airs on Wednesdays, at 9pm, with reruns on Fridays, at 6pm, on TVU-RN, channel 5.1 on open TV.
The program is a memory that has been present since the Eloy de Sousa Faculty of Journalism. It has already received interviewees such as Waldson Pinheiro and, currently, continues to reveal big names in communication from the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The season What Review is This? is linked to the subject of Special Topics in TV, and is coordinated by professor Valquíria Kneipp and journalist Francisco Júnior, an intern in assisted teaching of the subject.
