Music School promotes Three Piano Nights

The School of Music of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (EMUFRN) is holding the event Three Nights of Piano, on the 8th, 9th and 10th of May, starting at 6:30 pm, in the Onofre Lopes Auditorium, of the School of Music.
On the 8th, the event presents Duo Cesetti-Qi, formed by professor Durval Cesetti and pianist Nan Qi, both professors at EMUFRN. On the second night Durval performs solo. On Friday the 10th, the event hosts a presentation by international guest Garnet Ungar, from the University of Evansville. Garnet Ungar also presents a Masterclass on Thursday, 9th, from 9am to 12pm, in the Oriano de Almeida auditorium. Entry to the presentation is completely free.
Garnet Ungar holds degrees in performance – piano from the Universities of Toronto, Calgary and Houston. He completed specializations including courses at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, where he obtained an associate performer diploma with Marek Jablonski at the Banff School of Fine Arts, Marc Durand and Anton Kuerti at the Center d’Arts Orford in Québec, and Bernard Ebert at the Académie de Musique de Sion in Switzerland.
