The School of Music of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (EMUFRN) has an open call for the Specialization in Music Teaching in Multiple Contexts, which aims to develop research and teaching activities aimed at preparing teachers in pedagogical activities in teaching Music. 50 vacancies will be offered, 5 of which will be allocated to UFRN employees with higher education, graduates of Music courses and related areas.
Registrations must be made exclusively via the internet, through the Integrated Academic Activities Management System (Sigaa), through the Selection Processes, Lato Sensu tabs, where it is also possible to access the announcement with all the process regulations. The registration fee is R$50 (fifty reais), and the test date will be on July 31st, at 7pm, in Room 25 of the UFRN School of Music.
According to Valéria Lazaro, deputy director of the School of Music, specialization is necessary to strengthen the dialogue between emerging theory and practice within the scope of Music Teaching. "We consider that an updated teacher is one who seeks to understand and live with diversity, with new paradigms in the area. In this sense, the course consolidates an articulation between the university, the school and other non-formal contexts of music teaching", he adds.
The results will be published on August 7th, on the School of Music wall and on the website www.posgraduacao.ufrn.br/ppgmus, of the Postgraduate Program in Music (PPGMus) at UFRN.
