The event brought together a large audience who eagerly awaited to see the panel.
At the opening ceremony, the CCHLA management said they were honored to have another piece of art by the artist and his students. In addition to congratulating the pedagogical importance of having constructed a collective work during the students taught in the mosaic workshop.
Professor Teodora from the UFRN Art and Culture Center highlighted the importance of this project produced by the artist in partnership with CCHLA and NAC, in the UFRN art gallery.
Wendell Batista, very emotional, thanked everyone present and his students for the dedication of his class in completing the work, which was called “Cosmic Journey”.
The artist's parents, Pedro Batista Filho and Marlene Batista, said they were very moved and proud to see their son's work displayed on the walls of UFRN.
Master's student in History Diego Castro commented: "I find the work quite psychedelic. It really values each person's perspective and subjectivity, and how this can be transformed into an art that fills us with pride like this."
Vinícius da Silva, master's student in Urban and Regional Studies, said that the work conveys an ambiguous emotion, making the admirer curious when looking at it.
The panel's concept was based on Ana Mae Barbosa's triangular proposal and Paulo Freire's teaching thinking. The participants and artists of the work were: Cris Paiva, Françoese Valery, Judite Pandofe, Magnus Fidelis and Marileide Melo. Coordinated and guided by Wendell Batista, author of the project and course teacher.
