UFRN DPP promotes round table entitled: “Right back! About how the world turned upside down”

The round table entitled: "Right back! About how the world turned upside down" is promoted by the postgraduate program in Urban and Regional Studies (PPEUR) and the department of Public Policies (DPP), with the support of the postgraduate dean's office (PPG) and the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA) at UFRN, taking place on May 29th, at 2pm, in the auditorium of the BCZM.
The meeting will hold a debate on the emergence of extreme right-wing nationalist politicians on the electoral scene in many countries in recent years, addressing issues such as the neoliberal agenda, possible relationships between the extreme right and street social movements, which economic interests are behind these movements, among other developments.
Coordinated by professors Mário Moraes Valença and Sara Raquel Queiroz de Madeiros from DPP at UFRN, the meeting will promote lectures with the following guests: Patrick Bond professor at the School of Governance, University of Witwatersrand (WITS), Johannesburg, South Africa and Peter Hitchcock professor at The Graduate Center and Baruch College, The City University of New York (CUNY).
The lectures: “Neoliberalism in Africa” and “Cronotp and crisis”, take place at 6:30 pm, also in the BCZM auditorium.
The events are open to anyone interested in the topics.
