Professor Symone Fernandes de Melo, professor at UFRN and director of the Applied Psychology Service (SEPA), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), will participate this Tuesday, August 18th, from 7pm to 9pm, in the opening conference of the 18th edition of the Psychology Day with the theme “Psychology in Times of Pandemic: possibilities and challenges for professional practice”.
Symone, in addition to being a professor, is a member of the Advisory Board of the Reference Center for Human Rights (CRDH) at UFRN. She also works as supervisor of the State government’s “Coronavirus Prevention Hotline” platform.
The opening of the event, which is promoted by the Regional Psychology Council (CRP-RN), will be broadcast live on the institution's Youtube and Facebook, and will be mediated by the president's advisor Rafael Ribeiro, a psychologist working at the Social Assistance Secretariat (SEMTAS/Natal). It is the first time that the event has taken place entirely online due to the pandemic.
