On June 22nd, the UFRN Public Policy department will promote the debate “Challenges of democracy in the 21st century: The role of the state in promoting sustainable development and reducing inequalities”. The meeting is an integral part of the national mobilization action of courses in the field of Public Policies, coordinated by ANEPCP, SBAP, FENEAP and PRÓ-PÚBLICA and takes place from 2pm in the Public Policy planning laboratory located in the CCHLA of UFRN. Registration to participate is free and can be done at the event location.
The chosen theme generates a discussion about the role of the State and public management as ways of finding solutions to the crisis. Furthermore, it aims to understand which public management actions can be adopted to move towards the goal of sustainable development and the reduction of brutal Brazilian inequalities.
Two round tables will be held, one to discuss the case of Rio Grande do Norte and the other on those in the Brazilian Northeast, respectively. The event will have the participation of representatives from other institutions (UFPB, UFCG and IFRN) and national institutions (ANEPCP, SBAP, FENEAP, Pró-públicas), in addition to the Academic Center and the front in defense of Public Policy Management at UFRN, both coordinated by students of the university's Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy Management.
