The UFRN History Department (DEHIS) promotes the round table Six Women in the World (theater), with the aim of debating women's participation in the world of art and their historical invisibility. The event takes place on November 25th, at 6:30 pm, in the Ágora main auditorium. Registration must be made via Sigaa.
The debate will focus on issues linked to the historical invisibility of women artists and their works in the art world, in addition to raising discussions about the stereotypical and reductive representations of women as objects of dramaturgy.
The round table will be composed of six female artists: Heloisa Sousa, Thuyza Fagundes and Fernanda Cunha – members of Teatro das Cabras, a group from Rio Grande do Norte composed only of female artists – and Alaide Ribeiro, Talita Alves and Lais Damasceno – from the theatrical group Téspis.
