A new research base is created in the Department of Geography at UFRN, the Geography and Territorial Formation of Brazil (Geoform) group.
Geoform aims to carry out theoretical, conceptual and methodological reflections on the construction of contemporary geographic thinking and its relationship with interpretations of Brazil's territorial formation. Seeking a dialogue with different forms of knowledge, mainly with Brazilian literature and social thought.
