The Department of Communication (Decom) promotes the Unified Opening Day of the 2019.2 academic semester until this Friday, 16th, in Auditorium 1 of the academic unit. The event, which began on Monday the 12th, is open to students from all periods of the three Decom courses, which are Journalism, Advertising and Audiovisual, as well as the interested community.
The activity is carried out so that freshmen can learn more about the course, how it works and the main projects. This Friday's schedule, at 4pm, includes a round table on Representation: women and the periphery, with Team TVU Esporte and Team Peri. Then, at 7pm, the panel on Communication, democracy and human rights: the role of the media in times of crisis, with a team from Brasil de Fato and Saiba Mais.
At the beginning of the week, the head of Decom, Lívia Cirne, introduced herself to the students and participated in the discussion, as well as teachers Mirian Moema Pinheiro and Socorro Veloso, who made their contributions. Projects such as the Fotec Experimental Multimedia Communication Agency, Lide Jornal – University Agency for In-depth Journalism, ComTrilhas (Social Communication in Trilhas Potiguares) and Caderno de Agenda were also presented by veteran students of the course, who reported their experiences, encouraging freshmen.
