The Department of Arts (Deart) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will hold on June 11th, the workshop entitled Paper Fashion: contemporary fashion made with paper. The action is part of the Materioteca UFRN extension project, with the intention of integrating teaching, research and university extension, promoting a reflective exercise open to students and the external community.
The purpose of the workshop is to contextualize participants about the use and importance of paper in contemporary fashion. The guest lecturer, Marcos Paulo Nascimento Pereira, will present different ways of working with paper applications, teaching modeling, texture, cutting and sewing with this material in the production of clothing items.
A moment is planned for creation (sketches), after which each participant's ideas will be selected for joint production, with the aim of developing complete pieces of clothing. The event is aimed at Deart students and will take place from 8 am to 12 pm, at the Department. More information can be obtained through sigaa.
