Department of Arts promotes Visual Arts Week

The Department of Arts (Deart) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) promotes, starting this Monday, the 6th, the 9th UFRN Visual Arts Week. The program continues until next Friday, the 10th, and features various activities, such as lectures, workshops, thematic tables, an art fair and artists' publications, theoretical discussions and pedagogical actions.
The event proposes the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences between students, teachers and speakers, who work in the Brazilian art circuit, seeking to debate various current issues, such as environmental degradation, economic and political collapses and gender discrimination.
Visual Arts Week has taken place annually since 2010 and is an academic action planned and organized by a team of teachers and students, with the participation of artists and curators from the city of Natal and open to the community of Rio Grande do Norte.
