The Department of Social Communication (Decom) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) hosts, between the 15th and 17th of April, the II Procard Capes Seminar, with the theme of Communication and Mediations 2019. The activities take place in auditorium 1 of Decom and include the participation of professors and researchers from different institutions in the country.
The event aims to discuss the topic of communication and mediations as a theoretical approach for analyzing media phenomena in regional contexts, seeking to promote respect and appreciation of the discussion on the social productions of meaning, in the different areas of occurrence of media phenomena.
The event is held by the Postgraduate Program in Communication Sciences (PPGCOM) at the University of São Paulo (USP), in partnership with the Postgraduate Program in Media Studies (PPgEM) at UFRN and the Postgraduate Program in Communication (PPGCOM) at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS).
The meeting is aimed mainly at postgraduate students in Media Studies and university professors who work with the subject of Communication and Mediations.
