The Department of Communication (Decom) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is holding the XII National Meeting of Media History promoted by the Brazilian Association of Media History Researchers (ALCAR), from June 19th to 21st, with the theme Media and Extracts of Time: memory, present and future. The main objective of the meeting is to bring together research that interconnects the fields of History and Communication and that seeks to fill gaps in the historiography of the field across the country.
For three days, themes concerning communication and media practices and their relations with the construction of memory and history of the field and with the deontological processes that mark each of the areas involved will be debated. The intention of the carrying out institutions is to provide a conducive environment for the exchange of knowledge, as well as strengthening research on the history of communication in all its nuances.
